General

No. At this time, we only treat patients residing in Puerto Rico, as medical licensing and telemedicine regulations are limited to this territory.
This practice does not offer after-hours care. For medical emergencies, you should go to an emergency room or call 911. For non-urgent matters, you can send a message, and it will be addressed on the next business day.
It depends on your situation. Some treatments require initial or follow-up lab tests. During the initial consultation, we’ll determine which tests are necessary and where you can have them done.
Yes. With your permission, we can contact your other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and safe care.
If, during your care, we identify an issue that requires evaluation by another specialist, we will advise you on the type of specialist you need and can provide medical documentation for the referral.

Metabolic Care and Weight Management

Yes. Metabolic and weight management is available to anyone who meets the clinical criteria.
During the initial consultation, we review your treatment history, including which medications you have taken, at what doses, for how long, and why they were discontinued. This helps us determine whether there are viable options for you
Possibly. Some weight-management medications are also approved for diabetes. We’ll review your entire medical history, including your current diabetes management and other medications, before recommending a plan.
We don't impose restrictive diets. Our approach focuses on improving metabolic health. During follow-up sessions, we discuss eating habits in a practical way, without extremes or rigid rules.
Weight management is a long-term process. Once you’ve reached your goal, we’ll work on a maintenance plan that may include dose adjustments, changes to your follow-up schedule, or strategies to safely sustain your results.

Menopause and Perimenopause

It’s common to have concerns or misconceptions about hormone therapy. We can provide evidence-based educational resources that you can share, or include your partner in part of the consultation if you’d like.
Current evidence does not support the idea that properly adjusted hormone therapy causes weight gain. In fact, it may help improve body composition and metabolism. We monitor this during follow-up visits.
During perimenopause, there is still a possibility of pregnancy. Hormone therapy for menopause is NOT a form of birth control. If there is a risk of pregnancy, we will discuss birth control options based on your individual situation.
It depends on the type of therapy. During your follow-up visits, we’ll explain what to do if you miss a dose and how to handle interruptions based on the specific treatment you’re using.
This is a topic we discuss in detail during the initial consultation. The risk depends on a number of factors: the type of hormones, the dosage, the duration of treatment, and your personal and family medical history. We make informed, personalized decisions based on your individual profile.

Topical Estrogen

You'll notice an immediate improvement in hydration and comfort. However, tissue regeneration (the "memory" of the vaginal tissue) takes a little longer: you'll see the full results after 8 to 12 weeks of consistent use.
Absolutely. There’s no risk to your partner; men naturally produce their own estrogen, and the concentration in this treatment is so low that it won’t affect them at all. If for any reason the product causes physical discomfort, simply adjust the application time to fit your schedule.
It’s completely asynchronous. You don’t need to schedule a video call or waste time in waiting rooms. You simply fill out a detailed questionnaire that our medical team reviews to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
Since this treatment acts locally and is not absorbed systemically, it is often possible to use it. However, for safety reasons, a formal consultation is strictly required in these cases to review your medical history and coordinate with your oncologist if necessary.

Platform and Payments

We use Stripe, the world’s most secure and reliable payment platform. You can quickly pay with your credit or debit card. Once you confirm your payment, you’ll receive an automatic receipt and immediate access to the next steps in your medical care.
Yes. You can update your payment information at any time through the patient portal or by contacting us directly.
Elation is our secure medical portal (where we store your medical records privately). The process is simple: Once payment has been made, you will receive a link to select the date and time that works best for you. You'll receive reminders so you don't forget your appointment. On the day of the visit, just click on the link we sent you to enter our virtual room
Forget about those 5-minute appointments where you don't get a chance to speak. Our virtual visit is designed to be a safe space: No rush: We'll take the time to discuss your symptoms, concerns, and health goals in detail. Human connection: Even if it's just through a screen, our priority is to listen to you and address each of your concerns in a supportive and empathetic way. Personalized plan: By the end, you'll have a clear plan and know exactly what steps to take next.
You will receive a notification asking you to update your payment method. If the payment issue is not resolved, your membership access may be suspended until the situation is resolved.
Prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice in Puerto Rico. You must provide the name and location of your pharmacy during the consultation.
No. The consultation takes place via a secure web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. All you need is a stable internet connection and a quiet place where you feel comfortable talking.
This can happen, especially with high-demand medications. We can send the prescription to another pharmacy or help you coordinate with the manufacturer’s direct access programs when appropriate.
